A weekend of sport, motors, music, history and culture. San Marino is gearing up for the third weekend of September with a calendar of events spread across the historic centre and the Castelli.
At the Concordia Theatre in Borgo Maggiore, the 11th Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition enters its final stage, running through 18 September. On Friday at 9pm, the Winners’ Concert will take place, accompanied by the symphony orchestra conducted by maestro Nicola Valentini. From 18 to 20 September, meanwhile, the Serravalle Sports Centre will host Sport in Fiera, a free event organised by the CONS (San Marino’s National Olympic Committee) that lets the public discover and try out the various disciplines run by San Marino’s sports federations, alongside exhibitions and demonstrations.
The same days will also see the return of the Blue and White Train (Treno Bianco Azzurro). In San Marino City, guided rides of around 30 minutes will run aboard the AB03 railcar, recounting the history of the old railway, with a maximum of 20 passengers per trip. Also from 18 to 20 September, the Torraccia Aeroclub will host the 25th Linea Gialla Gathering, a travelling historical-military re-enactment dedicated to vehicles from the Second World War and the Gothic Line.
Music and food will take centre stage on 18 and 19 September at the San Marino Beer Fest in Dogana’s Ausa Park. Food service starts at 8pm and concerts from 10pm: Friday features Radiokom with a Vasco Rossi tribute, while Saturday brings the European Afro Tour.
On Saturday 19 September, the spotlight also falls on the 36th Nuvolari Grand Prix. Around 300 vintage cars from around the world will cross the Republic during the international regularity competition, with the procession passing through Piazza della Libertà from 5pm. The weekend of 19 and 20 September also sees the return of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows in Falciano, featuring music, shows, bingo and food stalls.
Rounding out the offerings are the exhibitions open on Mount Titano. Until 20 September, Palazzo Graziani hosts “Cantare Francesco – Artisti in Opera”, while “Icone Sacre Pop” by Simone Legno and “Nata Diva”, dedicated to Renata Tebaldi, continue until 30 September. At the Stamp and Coin Museum, the exhibitions “1876–2026: 150 Years of SUMS in Medals and Stamps” and “The Lire Quadriga: Genesis of a Masterpiece” remain open until 6 November.
