Pallacanestro Titano continues to build its squad for the upcoming Serie C season. The Titans have officially announced the arrival of Giacomo Benzi and the confirmation of Pietro Ugolini, two important pieces in the club’s new project.
Ugolini, a 2000-born forward and a standout performer last season, will therefore remain in San Marino. Also a product of the Reyer Venezia youth academy, he boasts experience up to Serie B level and is one of the mainstays of the San Marino national team. At the last Small States European Championship, he was named to the tournament’s all-star five, averaging 20.4 points.
«I’m energized and pleased with the enthusiasm building around the group,» explains Ugolini. «A new chapter is beginning, with a young, San Marino-based management team, and that’s an extra source of motivation.» The player is also looking ahead with ambition to the season: «The goal is to compete at the top of the league, winning and enjoying ourselves», without forgetting his wish to bring back crowds and excitement to the Multieventi.
The new addition is instead Giacomo “Jack” Benzi, a 2005-born small forward coming off an excellent season in Divisione Regionale 1 with Tiberius, where he averaged 12 points. A product of the Angels’ youth system, Benzi has already had a taste of Serie C and now returns to the category wearing the Titans’ jersey.
«I’m really happy about this opportunity, and I can’t wait to start training and give 100% every day in the gym,» Benzi points out. The new arrival expects a demanding season and above all promises seriousness, hard work and maximum commitment.
With Ugolini’s confirmation and Benzi’s arrival, Pallacanestro Titano adds experience, quality and fresh energy to the roster that will take on the new season.
