MotoGP doesn’t stop at the kerbs of the Misano World Circuit. During the week of the San Marino Grand Prix and the Riviera di Rimini, the Riders’ Land turns into one sprawling circuit, with events stretching from the Titano all the way to the coast, taking in Rimini, Misano, Coriano and Cattolica.
It’s called “The Riders’ Land Experience”, a calendar of initiatives running alongside the race weekend, featuring meet-and-greets with riders, shows, music, activities for young people, charity events and gatherings dedicated to two-wheel culture. Bagnaia, Bezzecchi and Morbidelli will play basketball in Rimini, San Marino will pay tribute to Alex Zanardi, Coriano will once again light the Sic Flame, and Steve Angello and Crookers will take to the circuit.
Wednesday 9 September – Bagnaia, Bezzecchi and Morbidelli in Rimini
Today the programme moves to Rimini, where from 5pm Piazzale Kennedy will host the FIBA 3×3 MotoGP Showcase. MotoGP and FIBA are bringing three stars of the motorcycling world championship onto the court: Marco Bezzecchi, Francesco Bagnaia and Franco Morbidelli, who will try their hand at 3×3 basketball alongside players and other guests.
In the evening, the focus shifts back to San Marino. At 8.30pm, the Teatro Titano will host “Oltre il limite – San Marino ricorda Alex Zanardi” (“Beyond the limit – San Marino remembers Alex Zanardi”), an evening dedicated to the racing and Paralympic champion, conceived by the “flying lawyer” Diego Pensalfini.
Thursday 10 September – The circuit takes centre stage
On Thursday, the heart of the action shifts directly to the Misano World Circuit. From 11am, at the Square Lounge, the project “Women Behind Every Race” will be presented — an initiative promoted by the circuit together with the FIM Women Commission and the FMI (Italian Motorcycling Federation) to highlight the role of women working behind the scenes in motorsport and encourage new generations to consider careers in the industry.
At 5pm, in Room C, there will be a presentation of a book marking the 60th anniversary of the San Marino Motorcycling Federation. At the same time, the charity Pit Walk will kick off, with the pit lane opening for the fundraising initiative.
Friday 11 September – Sport, freestyle and the Sic Flame
Friday will be one of the busiest days. In San Marino, from 3pm to 5.30pm at the Grand Hotel, a round-table discussion on sport as a driver of development for Europe’s small states will bring together institutional representatives and figures from the sporting world to discuss economics, inclusion, young people and major events.
From 7pm, the Claudio Tintori seafront in Rimini will host the Red Bull Riders’ Night: freestyle riding, performances by stuntman Aras, moto-trainers, arcade games and entertainment for the public. A KTM parade is also expected to arrive.
At the same time, in Coriano, one of the most symbolic moments of Grand Prix week will return: the special lighting of the Sic Flame, in the Dainese area on Via Patrignani, dedicated to Marco Simoncelli.
Friday will also mark the start of two events set to continue through the weekend. In Misano Adriatico, from 5pm at Arena 58, the twentieth edition of DediKato will kick off, featuring shows, events and exhibitions. In Cattolica, meanwhile, the Cattolica Ride Week will begin, bringing motorbikes, music and activities for enthusiasts to the town centre.
Saturday 12 September – From children’s activities to Steve Angello
Saturday will also make room for the youngest fans. In Piazzale Kennedy in Rimini, from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 7pm, “Hobby Sport, sali in moto” (“Hobby Sport, hop on a bike”) returns, offering mini-bike trials for children and teenagers aged 6 to 14, organised by the Nuovo Motoclub Renzo Pasolini.
In the evening, the Misano World Circuit will shift gears entirely. From 6pm, the Fanzone will host Nameless X Red Bull, with a line-up including Steve Angello, Crookers, EDMMARO and Fenoaltea, alongside other artists.
In Misano, the second day of DediKato will continue from 5pm, while in Cattolica the Ride Week will carry on.
In Coriano, meanwhile, festivities begin at 11am in Piazza Don Minzoni with the end-of-summer Moto Sbaraccata, a day combining motorbikes, food, music, beer and wine, also designed to welcome the many fans who have arrived in the area for the Grand Prix.
Sunday 13 September – The final event in Rimini
On Sunday, while race day unfolds at the Misano World Circuit, Rimini will continue with “Hobby Sport, sali in moto”. Piazzale Kennedy will once again host mini-bike trials from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
Special opening hours for the Sic museum in Coriano
Throughout Grand Prix week, opening hours will also be extended at the “La Storia del Sic” Museum, at Via Garibaldi 127 in Coriano.
The museum will be open Friday and Saturday from 9.30am to 7.30pm, Sunday from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 3.30pm to 7.30pm, and Monday from 9.30am to 7.30pm.
A calendar that extends the Grand Prix well beyond Misano: six days of events involving an entire territory, with motorsport as the common thread linking the circuit, the towns, the Republic of San Marino and the landmark sites of the Riders’ Land.
