Folgore remain on a perfect run in the San Marino Championship. After two matchdays, the Falciano side have moved to six points thanks to a 1-0 win over Cailungo, while Libertas claimed all three points against Juvenes Dogana, winning 2-1 with a brace from Osayande.
Folgore needed just three minutes to put their stamp on the match: Tampellini capitalised on Malaponti’s pass to score what would prove to be the decisive goal. Cailungo thought they had equalised through Cecconi, but the effort was ruled out for offside. Ricci’s side created several chances to double their lead, but found an inspired Tordella standing in their way. In the second half, Marini also struck the crossbar, but the score remained unchanged: 1-0, and a second consecutive win for Folgore.
The match between Libertas and Juvenes Dogana was more hard-fought. The granata side went ahead in the first half through Osayande from the penalty spot, awarded for a handball by Merli. Juvenes Dogana raised their game after the break and equalised midway through the second half through Sartini, who headed home from a set piece delivered by Dormi.
Osayande once again proved decisive, striking in the 83rd minute: the forward latched onto a through ball from Melandri, beat his marker and got the better of Colonna to make it 2-1, which proved to be the final score. Libertas thus secured their first win of the season and remain unbeaten after the opening two matchdays.
