Folgore and Tre Penne both return to action with perfect records, but round six throws up two tough obstacles for the pair as they look to stay on top. After the national team’s trip to Slovenia for the UEFA Regions’ Cup, the championship resumes on Friday with four matches kicking off at 9:15 pm.
The most eagerly awaited clash comes at Montecchio, where Tre Penne take on reigning champions Tre Fiori, who could draw level with the league leaders by winning.
Folgore will have to wait until Sunday at 3 pm. Also at Montecchio, Michael Ricci’s side face Libertas, who have lost just once so far this season. The yellow-and-red side also boast the competition’s best attack and best defence.
Breathing down the leaders’ necks is Virtus, two points back and still unbeaten. On Friday in Fiorentino they will chase a fifth consecutive win against Juvenes Dogana, who arrive on the back of four straight defeats and without the suspended Amadori.
The same evening, Cosmos look for a fourth win in a row against San Marino Academy, who are still searching for their first victory. In Acquaviva, Pennarossa and San Giovanni meet level on three points apiece. The hosts will be without the suspended Labudiak.
Saturday offers two matches at 3 pm: Fiorentino-Cailungo in Acquaviva and Murata-Domagnano at Montecchio. Fiorentino want to build on their last win, while Murata and Domagnano are both chasing a victory that has eluded them for three rounds. Domagnano will be without the suspended Rigoni.
Rounding off Sunday’s programme is Faetano-La Fiorita, at 3 pm. With Andy Selva at the helm, the Montegiardino side have won both their matches so far. Bottom-placed Faetano are still searching for their first win of the season.
