A 16-year-old boy is in extremely critical condition at the Bufalini hospital in Cesena following a scooter crash in Bellaria during the night between Saturday and Sunday.
The accident occurred at around 1am on Via Ravenna. According to initial reconstructions, the minor reportedly lost control of his scooter and fell onto the road, with no other vehicles involved.
118 emergency medical personnel, who responded with an ambulance and a medical car, found him unconscious and began resuscitation efforts. A rescue helicopter was called in to assist.
Medics managed to restart the teenager’s heart. After stabilizing him, they arranged for his urgent transfer to the hospital in Cesena.
The Carabinieri carried out an on-site investigation to establish the circumstances of the crash and, once the boy had been identified, traced and informed his parents.
