A violent accident occurred late Thursday evening on the Statale 16 in Cattolica, where a scooter and a car collided near a McDonald’s restaurant. The worst injuries were suffered by a 60-year-old man, who was taken to the Bufalini hospital in Cesena.
The crash happened at around 10 p.m. According to initial findings, the Honda scooter was traveling toward Pesaro when it encountered an Alfa Romeo pulling out of a service station. The car, driven by a woman, was reportedly maneuvering to head north.
The scooter struck the front left side of the car, and the 60-year-old rider was thrown from his seat, landing violently on the asphalt. After receiving first aid from medical personnel, he was transferred by ambulance to the Bufalini hospital in Cesena.
The Cattolica carabinieri responded to the scene and carried out an investigation to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the crash.
