The Cava dei Balestrieri in San Marino will host a concert by the Harmonie Municipale of Mont Saint Martin, a historic French musical ensemble, on Saturday, August 8, at 6 p.m. The event, which is free to attend, is part of the “The Lovely Places” project, promoted by the Secretariat of State for Tourism to strengthen ties between the Republic and neighboring territories.
The event carries special significance as it celebrates the 20th anniversary of the twinning between the municipalities of Montecopiolo, Carpegna and Pietrarubbia and the French town of Mont Saint Martin.
According to the official statement, the concert “celebrates the vitality of a relationship that, for twenty years, has united Italian and French communities in a journey of exchange, friendship and synergy,” while also highlighting “the natural vocation of the Republic of San Marino (…) to serve as a crossroads for fruitful connections, strengthening dialogue with neighboring communities.”
The Harmonie Municipale of Mont Saint Martin will perform a repertoire ranging from classical music to film scores and traditional melodies, offering the audience a musical experience set against the backdrop of San Marino’s historic center. As the statement describes it, the concert promises to be “a true sonic journey capable of moving a diverse audience,” conceived as an occasion for “celebration and international friendship, under the banner of music and the appreciation of local territories.”
