The San Marino Motor Racing Federation (FAMS) has congratulated Andrea Kimi Antonelli on winning the Formula 1 World Championship. The federation’s board highlighted the close relationship and admiration it holds for the Italian driver, who has become a San Marino resident by adoption.
FAMS praised the talent and maturity he has shown behind the wheel of his Mercedes, as well as the down-to-earth attitude and warmth that, in the federation’s view, have made him one of the most beloved figures on the Formula 1 circuit.
The title carries special significance for San Marino as well, where Antonelli resides and where his family has lived and worked for some time. That bond is reinforced by Antonelli Motorsport, the team led by his father Marco, one of the key figures who helped shape the champion’s rise through the ranks.
The federation and San Marino’s wider motorsport community expressed pride in the achievement, pointing to Kimi’s personal qualities as an example for younger generations. They wished the driver continued success in pursuing his dreams while holding on to the values he has shown so far.
