San Marino is taking part in the World Travel Market in London, running from 3 to 5 November at ExCeL London, to promote the destination and build new relationships with international tourism operators.
The Tourism Office will be present with the “Visit San Marino” stand, located within the Italy promotion area, alongside several Sammarinese tour operators.
On 3 November, Alan Gasperoni, private secretary at the State Secretariat for Tourism, will inaugurate the Republic’s space and take part in the opening of the Italian stand. The agenda also includes institutional meetings and, in the evening, a promotional event organised by ENIT dedicated to Italy’s tourism identity.
The following day will see the annual Wanderlust awards ceremony, for which San Marino is among the candidate destinations.
The event is expected to draw more than 4,000 exhibitors, around 5,500 qualified buyers and over 46,000 attendees, with representatives from more than 180 countries. Among the key themes under discussion are sustainability, experiential tourism and the use of artificial intelligence in services.
For the Sammarinese delegation, the goal is to strengthen ties with tour operators, buyers and tourism organisations, fostering new partnerships and promotional opportunities.
“Taking part in an event of this scale confirms the Republic of San Marino’s commitment to engaging with the leading players in the international tourism sector, and to identifying and making the most of the opportunities offered by an ever-evolving market,” said Federico Pedini Amati, State Secretary for Tourism.
