Parma Clima are the 2026 champions of Italy. In Serravalle, the Emilians triumphed 9-0 in game 5, closing out the Italian Baseball Series 4-1 to claim the title. For San Marino, there is disappointment over a final that did not go the way they had hoped, but also the satisfaction of remarkable consistency at the top level: this was the Titans’ eighth consecutive final appearance.
The series’ final showdown was decided almost immediately. Parma struck first in the opening inning through Leonora, then delivered the decisive blow in the second. Angioi made it 2-0 after capitalizing on a defensive error, before Robel Garcia launched the ball over the fence for a two-run homer to make it 4-0. It was Garcia’s third home run of the series, a performance that helped earn him the Finals MVP award.
In the third inning, Battioni pushed Parma’s lead to 5-0. San Marino tried to stay in the game, but their offense could not find any rhythm against the Emilian pitching staff. Scotti allowed just four hits over six innings, while Giulianelli kept the score unchanged for two innings after relieving Artitzu.
The game was put beyond doubt in the sixth, when Parma added three more runs through Flisi, Astorri and Battioni to make it 8-0. In the eighth, Astorri’s double sealed the final 9-0 score.
Parma finished with 13 hits, compared to San Marino’s six, and celebrated the championship on the Serravalle diamond. For the Titans, it was yet another season that went the distance of the championship, but this time without the title.
