He reportedly could not accept the end of the relationship and began spying on his ex-partner using hidden cameras, listening devices and GPS trackers, concealed in the woman’s home and car. A 43-year-old man from Rimini has been placed under house arrest on charges of domestic mistreatment and other offences.
The measure was carried out by carabinieri from Riccione. The relationship had ended after 11 years of cohabitation, during which the couple had two daughters. According to reconstructions, the first conflicts reportedly arose over the management of the children, then intensified once the woman began seeing someone new.
The ex-partner reportedly suffered insults, jealous outbursts and physical assaults, to the point of going to the emergency room on several occasions. After reporting the man to police, she allegedly discovered the devices used to track her movements and monitor her even inside her own home.
One of the most serious episodes reportedly took place last July. After a minor car collision, the 43-year-old allegedly opened the door of the woman’s car, grabbing her by the hair and slamming her head against the door.
