An international outing for the San Marino Sport Fishing Federation, which took part in the 61st World Championship for national teams in sea fishing from a boat. In Torrevieja, Spain, the national team — made up of Federico Bruschi, Lorenzo Mularoni, Federico Soldati, Alessandro Antonini, Dario Giulianelli and Lorenzo Muraro, led by head of delegation John Bruschi — finished in 11th place out of 15 competing nations.
The world title went to Croatia, followed on the podium by Slovenia and France.
Italy’s national team placed fifth.
Across the three rounds of competition, it is worth noting Dario Giulianelli’s first-place finish in the boat category on the second day of racing. In the individual rankings, won by Croatia’s David Pizanecic, the best-placed Sammarinese angler was Federico Bruschi.
