Today’s afternoon in San Marino was packed with events, marking the closing day of “Dal Contadino al Turista” (“From Farmer to Tourist”), an initiative that wrapped up its programme with a series of activities starting at 6pm.
One of the most distinctive moments was a dj set held aboard the cable car, with music accompanying the cabins on their journey along the link between Città and Borgo Maggiore. An unusual initiative that, for a few hours, transformed one of the Republic’s most iconic means of transport into a space for entertainment as well.
The day then continued with three inaugurations, all connected to new spaces designed for the local area and its enjoyment.
The first ribbon-cutting was for “Dalla Terra alla Tavola” (“From Land to Table”), the new venue built next to the Bar Funivia. This was followed by the inauguration of the new lift at Piazzale Campo della Fiera, a project designed to improve accessibility and connections in the area.
Rounding off the programme was the opening of the new “cantinette” (small cellar-shops) in Borgo Maggiore, new spaces that enrich the offerings of the historic centre of the Castello.
The afternoon thus marked the conclusion of “Dal Contadino al Turista”, with a formula that combined music, the enhancement of public spaces, and the inauguration of new facilities between Città and Borgo Maggiore.
