Nearly 200 educators from nurseries and teachers from preschools took part in the training week “A body that sounds, a heart that listens, a mind that creates,” organized in San Marino by the School Directorates together with the School Wellbeing Team and the Musicagiocando Department of the San Marino Music Institute (Istituto Musicale Sammarinese).
The course focused on a practical, experience-based approach, engaging participants in work involving body, senses, music and awareness of self and others. Together with school psychologist Rosita Guidi, participants explored themes related to emotional and relational dynamics, from consent around physical contact to the ability to recognize one’s personal space and set boundaries when stimuli become overwhelming.
Special attention was given to music as an educational tool, used to bring emotions to the surface and help children learn to recognize and manage them.
The initiative is part of an ongoing training program for school staff, aimed at providing new tools to address emotional education and support teachers and families in fostering the emotional and relational growth of children and young people.
