Grand Prix week has officially begun for the Red Bull Grand Prix of San Marino and the Riviera di Rimini, one of the most anticipated events of the season at the Misano World Circuit. The first taste came on Mount Titano with “Cronotitano Hill Climb – The Trailer,” as the programme now moves into full swing across both the track and the surrounding area.
In San Marino’s historic centre, crowds of fans turned out to watch the individual timed hill climb that served as a preview of the Cronotitano Hill Climb project — a team time trial uphill event reserved for MotoGP teams, expected to take shape from 2027. Taking part in the trial were Enea Bastianini, Letizia Paternoster, Davide Cassani and Mauro Sanchini, the latter joined by Marco Bezzecchi in the role of coach.
The Riders’ Land Experience events continue today in Rimini with the Fiba 3×3 MotoGP Showcase, while San Marino hosts the “Oltre il Limite” (“Beyond the Limit”) evening dedicated to Alex Zanardi.
Tomorrow the focus shifts directly to the Misano World Circuit, where “TH – Women Behind Every Race” will make its debut — a project promoted by the circuit together with the FIM Women Commission and the Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI) to highlight the role of women in motorsport. Students and young people will have the chance to meet professionals working in telemetry, logistics, communications, technical management and race direction, through workshops, paddock meetings and a pit lane visit.
Also tomorrow, at 5 p.m. in the circuit’s Sala C, the San Marino Motorcycling Federation will present a publication marking its 60 years of history.
Alongside the sporting programme, sustainability once again takes centre stage with KiSS Misano – Keep it Shiny and Sustainable. The initiative includes expanded recycling efforts and the recovery of PET bottles through three eco-compactors. On the social front, the partnership with the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII will continue, allowing surplus food from hospitality areas to be recovered and donated to facilities that support homeless people.
Meanwhile, the circuit continues its environmental drive: the photovoltaic system installed on the covered grandstands can generate 450,000 kWh per year, while lighting upgrades have cut electricity consumption by 30%, according to figures released by the Misano World Circuit.
