A new addition for Libertas, who will host Juvenes Dogana on Saturday at 3pm at Montecchio. In the final hours of the transfer window, the granata club signed Moussa Simaha, a Senegalese midfielder born in 1999.
The player has experience in Italy with Prato, Albenga and Seravezza Pozzi, as well as a spell in Belgium’s Serie C. Simaha has already trained with the team and will be available for Saturday’s match, though he is expected to start on the bench.
«He’s a well-built player, standing close to 1.90 metres tall,» explains coach Achille Fabbri. «He can play in all three midfield positions and can give us an important contribution.»
Libertas come into the match after securing a late equaliser against Cosmos in their season opener. «We got a good point and I saw some positive signs, but we know we still need to work on finding greater compactness, balance and intensity,» Fabbri points out.
Standing in their way will be a Juvenes Dogana side fresh off a win over Faetano. «They’re a dangerous team that has added important players to an already solid framework. I watched them against Faetano and they made an excellent impression, especially from midfield up. We’ll need to face them with total conviction.»
A particularly busy stretch lies ahead for Libertas: after Juvenes Dogana comes the Titano Cup match against Folgore on Wednesday, September 9, followed by a league fixture against Virtus on Saturday, September 12. Lepri and Manuel De Biagi will be unavailable for the match against Juvenes Dogana.
