Three young people were injured in a road accident that occurred just after midnight along the SP 146 Sapigno road, in the municipality of Sant’Agata Feltria. An Opel Corsa and a Lancia Ypsilon collided head-on.
The impact was violent. Following the collision, the Opel Corsa veered off the road and ended up in a ditch. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and rescuers had to intervene to free him.
The Lancia Ypsilon, meanwhile, was carrying three young people: two were left trapped inside the car, while the third managed to get out unharmed. In total, three people suffered fractures and abrasions and, after receiving initial treatment at the scene, were taken to the hospital in Cesena.
Emergency services responded immediately. Three ambulances, a medical response vehicle and firefighters arrived at the scene, working to extract the injured from the vehicles.
Also present were the Carabinieri of Sant’Agata Feltria and the Cesena Traffic Police, who carried out the investigations needed to reconstruct the dynamics of the crash and determine its causes.
