Seven straight wins and first place regained for Pennarossa, who beat Cailungo 5-1 in the postponed match of matchday seven of the San Marino Futsal Championship.
At the Acquaviva gymnasium, the Biancorossi took control in the first half: Toccaceli opened the scoring in the 10th minute, with Celli doubling the lead in the 24th, sending the teams into the break at 2-0.
In the second half, Verri extended the lead in the 38th minute. Cailungo pulled one back through Antonelli in the 41st minute, but the goal did little to change the course of the match.
Verri, completing a brace, struck again for the fourth goal in the 50th minute, before Baldani sealed the result in stoppage time, in the 62nd minute. Pollini’s Rossoverdi thus remain without a win so far this season.
The round concludes this evening at 10pm at the Multieventi Sport Domus, with the clash between Virtus and San Giovanni.
