Pennarossa retain the lead in the Sammarinese Futsal Championship thanks to a 3-0 win over Folgore. In matchday six, La Fiorita and Murata also picked up victories, holding firm in the top positions and pulling further ahead of their chasers.
The league leaders got the better of Folgore with a goal from Timpani in the 9th minute, followed by a brace from Verri in the second half, at the 35th and 52nd minutes. The opponents tried to respond but were unable to make the most of their chances.
La Fiorita earned a hard-fought win, beating Virtus 5-4 in a closely contested match. The yellow-and-blues raced into an early lead through Pasqualini and Chezzi, before Belloni restored parity for Virtus. In the second half, La Fiorita pulled ahead to 5-2, before having to withstand a Virtus comeback driven by a Belloni hat-trick and a goal from Beccari.
Murata, meanwhile, defeated Domagnano 2-1, ending their opponents’ winning streak. After Molinas put Murata ahead and Sensoli equalised for Domagnano, it was Mattioli who scored the decisive goal in the final minute.
The rout of the day bears Libertas’ signature, as they thrashed Tre Fiori 11-1. Moretti was the star of the match, scoring four goals in a game that was already decided in the first half and dominated by the maroon-and-whites.
San Giovanni also picked up their first win of the season, beating Cailungo 2-0 in a direct clash between the two bottom-placed sides. The match was settled by Berardi, who scored from the penalty spot, and Bernacchia. The win allows Leonardo Palermino’s side to hand last place to Cailungo.
Matchday six will conclude this evening at 10pm at the Multieventi Sport Domus with the Serravalle derby between Cosmos and Juvenes Dogana. Cosmos will be looking for a win to stay close to the top three in the standings.
