The late comeback doesn’t change the overall picture: Cosmos suffer their first league defeat, in the match that closes out the sixth round of San Marino’s futsal championship.
Juvenes start strongly. Less than a minute goes by before Fabbri opens the scoring. Cosmos struggle to respond, and in the 10th minute Cecchini doubles the lead. Fabbri strikes again in the 20th minute: a brace for the former Libertas man, with the derby already firmly in the hands of the white-red-and-blue side.
The pattern continues after the break. Juvenes keep finding the net and extend their lead through De Angelis in the 43rd minute and Quaranta in the 46th. At 5-0, the game is effectively over for Franchino’s side.
Cosmos pull one back thanks to an own goal from Serra, before Giorgetti scores in stoppage time. The two late goals deny Juvenes a first clean sheet of the season, but do nothing to threaten the win or the three points.
The victory lifts Juvenes Dogana to seventh place, pulling clear of Virtus and Tre Fiori and overtaking Folgore and Domagnano. Faetano now sit just one point above them, Cosmos two. For Franchino’s men, the result ends a run of one draw and three straight wins — and allows Libertas to draw level with them in the standings.
