Andy Selva is the new head coach of La Fiorita. The yellow-and-blue club has announced an agreement with the former San Marino national team striker, who will already lead his first training session in Montegiardino this evening.
For Selva, it marks a return to familiar territory. He played for La Fiorita from 2014 to 2018, racking up more than 100 appearances and over 50 goals, capping a long professional career that included a stint in Italy’s Serie B.
After hanging up his boots, Selva moved into coaching, gaining experience in the San Marino league at the helm of Pennarossa, Tre Fiori and Cosmos.
There’s also a new addition to the coaching staff: joining Selva is Alex Gasperoni, another former San Marino national team player, who will serve as assistant coach.
“We welcome them both to La Fiorita,” said club president Alessandro Cianciaruso. “Andy Selva has already been part of this club’s history, helping to write some of its most important chapters. We hope that, as a coach, he can now provide a crucial boost as we work to achieve the goals we’ve set for ourselves as a club.”
