Tre Fiori show no signs of slowing down, claiming a third consecutive league win. After seeing off Pennarossa and Faetano, the yellow-and-blues also got the better of Domagnano, 3-0, who had arrived at the match with a perfect record of their own.
The match was effectively settled inside the first 35 minutes. Benedettini scored twice, first with a low diagonal strike and then finishing off a D’Addario assist, while Rea added a third from a corner kick routine. In the second half Tre Fiori could have extended their lead further, but Maggioli kept the damage from being even greater. The league leaders have now netted 12 goals in their opening three matches.
It was a very different story for La Fiorita, who were caught by Fiorentino right at the death. After a balanced first half, Serges put the yellow-and-blues ahead in the 65th minute with a strike from the edge of the box. The team failed to see the match out, however, and were punished in the 93rd minute by Pesciarelli, who headed home from a corner to make it 1-1.
For La Fiorita, it marks a third draw in as many matchdays, while Fiorentino get their campaign moving again following their defeat to Virtus.
