Win or go home. San Marino’s NAT (National Amateur Team) stake everything on their clash with Vojvodina, in the match scheduled for Wednesday, 21 October at 3pm at the Hajdina Stadion in Ptuj, Slovenia. At stake is a place among the best eight amateur national teams in Europe, in the finals of the UEFA Regions’ Cup 2026-27.
The Titans must win, while the Serbs only need a draw to advance. It’s a situation that head coach Luigi Bizzotto views as a psychological advantage: “We have nothing to lose, and everyone shares the desire to achieve an important result — something fantastic that would crown a dream.”
San Marino will face one of the tournament’s most solid sides. Vojvodina have scored nine goals without conceding any, while San Marino have netted five, conceding just one from the penalty spot.
Bizzotto knows the opposition well — physically strong and well-organised — but believes the pace of their central defenders could be a weakness to exploit.
“As in every final — and this can certainly be considered one — it will be the small details and moments that separate joy from disappointment,” the coach stressed, convinced that defensive solidity will be key to unleashing San Marino’s attacking potential.
On the injury and suspension front, San Marino will have to do without Imre Badalassi, banned for two matches by the UEFA Disciplinary Commission. Vojvodina, meanwhile, will be missing Marko Serdar, who was sent off in the previous game.
There will be no live video coverage of the match, which can instead be followed through live text updates on the UEFA website.
