Opposition parties are seeking clarity over the future leadership of San Marino Rtv. This morning, a parliamentary question was filed asking the State Congress (Congresso di Stato) to clarify whether any steps have already been taken to allow the current director to remain in the post.
The initiative bears the signatures of representatives from Repubblica Futura, Domani Motus Liberi and Rete. The minority parties are asking, in particular, whether contacts with the Italian government or with Rai — regarding the role of director at the state broadcaster — have taken place or are still ongoing.
The request goes beyond seeking a political response. The councillors are also asking for copies of any existing documents or a detailed report on the discussions held so far.
The opposition has requested a written response. Also today, a request was filed to add a specific item to the agenda of the next Foreign Affairs Committee meeting, bringing the matter before the relevant parliamentary body as well.
