Former President Barack Obama hails the Democratic victory in the midterm elections, calling for unity and concrete solutions to the challenges ahead.

Barack Obama commented on X on the Democratic victory in the midterm elections. “Tonight, the American people sent a clear message: they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer real solutions to the challenges we face.”

The former president credited the result to the candidates who stepped forward across the country, including in areas considered hardest to win. He also thanked election officials and volunteers from both parties for ensuring the vote ran smoothly.

Looking ahead, Obama turned to the two years remaining in the Trump administration. “While this administration still has two years left in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we can, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.”
