New job opportunities have opened up at San Marino’s Financial Intelligence Agency (AIF), based within the Central Bank. The agency has launched a search for professional figures to join its staff, with two separate selection processes covering distinct areas of activity.
The first position, identified by code 26.2.A, concerns the Financial Intelligence Service, which is tasked with analysing suspicious transactions related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
Successful candidates will be responsible for examining financial transactions, identifying potential anomalies and analysing data through specialised software, databases and information management systems. The role also involves drafting technical reports and strategic analyses aimed at identifying possible risks and suspicious patterns.
The service also works closely with judicial authorities, police forces and international bodies, including financial intelligence units from other countries.
The second search, code 26.2.B, concerns the Legal and Regulatory Service. Duties include drafting regulations and legal opinions, proposing legislative amendments, and managing administrative sanction procedures.
Staff will also be involved in the regulatory aspects of the Register of Beneficial Ownership of legal entities, as well as in relations with San Marino authorities, foreign bodies and international institutions.
Both selection processes aim to strengthen the AIF’s technical and specialist expertise in the fields of financial supervision, risk analysis and regulation.
