An evening to discover and experience the Feldenkrais Method through simple exercises and movements. The event is set for Friday 18 September at 9pm at the Dogana Social Centre (Centro Sociale di Dogana), in Piazza M. Tini 7, with the free public initiative “The Feldenkrais® Method – Awareness through movement”.
The meeting is promoted and organised by the Dogana Social Centre and will be led by Raffaella Crociati, a Feldenkrais Method teacher.
“Through simple, slow and mindful movements, the Feldenkrais® Method helps develop greater awareness of one’s own body and discover new possibilities for movement,” the organisers explain, “fostering a more functional posture, reduced tension and a more natural, harmonious and efficient way of moving.”
During the evening, participants will be guided through practical movement-awareness exercises. The event is open to people of all ages and requires no particular physical fitness or prior experience with the method.
According to the presentation, the initiative offers “a valuable opportunity to look after one’s posture, coordination and overall wellbeing.” Participation is free, and those interested are advised to wear comfortable clothing.
