Applications for social tariffs must be submitted by October 31, while the Income and Asset Declaration (Dichiarazione Reddituale e Patrimoniale, DRP) for ICEE purposes can be completed by the end of the year. This clarification comes from the Consumers’ Advice Bureau Association, ASDICO.
The clarification concerns a new requirement introduced this year: to access the benefits, applicants are now required to fill out and validate the DRP. According to the association, however, the declaration can be completed up until the date the tariffs are actually used, at year’s end.
It therefore remains necessary to submit the application by October, using the forms available on the public administration portal, in the REFASS section.
ASDICO also criticized the complexity of the utility expense summary for the previous year, which requires applicants to separate out the solid urban waste tax and the environmental tariff from the total amount of their bills.
The association is calling on the institutions to automatically pre-load data the administration already holds, through better coordination between offices, rather than asking users to provide it all over again.
