A plan to improve safety at pedestrian crossings along San Marino’s Superstrada is moving forward. The State Congress has given its favourable opinion on assigning the professional task to engineer Stefano Benvenuti, who will be responsible for designing the necessary interventions.
The decision was made during the 13 October session, following a proposal from the State’s Autonomous Public Works Authority (AASLP), which had submitted the request on 6 October.
The plan’s drafting is expected to cost 45,000 euros, to be financed through funds already earmarked for the Superstrada’s redevelopment in AASLP’s 2026 budget.
The assignment involves developing a plan to enhance pedestrian crossing safety along one of Titano’s main thoroughfares.
The specific crossings involved and the timeline for any future works have not yet been specified. For now, the measure concerns only the awarding of the design contract, not the start of actual construction.
It will now be up to AASLP to carry out the necessary procedures to formalise the assignment.
