From humanitarian relief efforts for the people of Gaza to long-distance adoptions in Kenya, and support on the Titano for people affected by neurodegenerative diseases and their families. In 2026 as well, the Istituto Servizi al Lavoro of the CSdL (ISAL) has allocated resources to domestic and international solidarity initiatives, made possible in part through the “three per thousand” tax-return contribution.
“The Istituto Servizi al Lavoro of the CSdL (ISAL) wishes to thank everyone who chose to direct their three-per-thousand tax contribution to the institute, thereby supporting the domestic and international solidarity initiatives that ISAL funds every year” – reads the statement issued by the organization.
On the international front, the institute has decided to renew its humanitarian support for the people of Gaza and to continue the long-distance adoption programme at the Kivuli Social Centre in Kenya, a facility run by the Amani association.
Alongside its efforts beyond San Marino’s borders, ISAL has also chosen to support an organisation working directly within the country. A contribution was awarded to ASSPIC, the San Marino Association for Support of Brain Ageing Conditions (Associazione Sammarinese Sostegno Patologie Invecchiamento Cerebrale), founded in 2017 to assist people affected by neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s, and their families.
“Through a series of concrete initiatives, ASSPIC supports the clinical work of the Neurology Department at the State Hospital and organises targeted activities such as cognitive stimulation groups and psychological support groups for both patients and the family members who care for them” – ISAL explains.
The association’s activities were discussed in detail during a meeting between the ISAL-CSdL Board of Directors and ASSPIC President Arolda Ranocchini, who presented the ongoing projects and the support provided to those receiving care.
According to the statement, Ranocchini highlighted “the value and benefits for those being cared for, as well as for their family members, who also face great hardship given the particular and extremely complex nature of these devastating conditions”.
For ISAL, these efforts are part of a commitment renewed each year, aimed especially at those facing greater hardship. “Solidarity, particularly towards the most vulnerable and disadvantaged, is one of the founding and most defining values of the CSdL, one that takes shape through initiatives like these and, more broadly, in our everyday work,” the statement concludes.
