Two young men, aged 22 and 25, both already known to law enforcement, were arrested by carabinieri from San Leo during the Fiera Millenaria di Madonna di Pugliano in Montecopiolo. They face charges of resisting a public official and aggravated assault against a public official.
Officers intervened after receiving reports of disorderly behavior. According to reconstructions, the two men, reportedly in an altered psychophysical state, were harassing attendees and disrupting the event.
During identification procedures, they allegedly responded with kicks and punches, injuring one of the carabinieri. After being restrained, they were taken to the Arma’s holding cells on orders of the Urbino Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending a fast-track trial (rito direttissimo).
Both young men are to be considered presumed innocent until any definitive determination of guilt.
