Dml-Pelliccioni case, Bureau of the Presidency to revisit legal protection issue

The compensation claim against former party councillor Michela Pelliccioni returns to the agenda of San Marino's governing body.

The compensation claim by Domani Motus Liberi against the party’s former councillor Michela Pelliccioni returns to the table of the Bureau of the Presidency (Ufficio di Presidenza), which met on Monday, 26 October, ahead of the Grand and General Council’s session.

Dml is seeking up to 50,000 euros in damages through civil proceedings over the alleged breach of the mandate constraint — a clause set out in the party’s statute but not explicitly recognised under San Marino’s legal system.

At the heart of the political debate remains the question of legal protection for the councillor. The Bureau of the Presidency has yet to reach a decision, although previous meetings suggested a leaning towards guaranteeing her assistance.
