La Fiorita defeated San Giovanni 11-2, securing sole possession of third place in matchday eight of the San Marino Futsal Championship. Pietrangeli’s side are now just two points behind leaders Murata and Pennarossa and confirm they boast the competition’s best attack, with 45 goals scored in seven matches.
The match was effectively decided in the first half, with La Fiorita racing to a 6-0 lead after just 16 minutes thanks to braces from Pasqualini and Chezzi, along with goals from Zafferani and Pellegrini.
In the second half, Andrea Ercolani also found the net, while Pasqualini, Chezzi and Zafferani each completed a hat-trick. Pasqualini’s tally now stands at 12 goals for the season, keeping him at the top of the scoring charts.
For San Giovanni, second from bottom in the standings, both goals came from Volpinari, who struck in the 42nd and 43rd minutes.
