Domagnano, Franco Fracassi guest at “Health, freedom and control” meeting

The relationship between public health and individual freedom will take centre stage at a meeting with journalist and documentary maker Franco Fracassi, scheduled for Friday, November 6 at 8:45 pm in the Sala Montelupo in Domagnano, at Piazza Filippo da Sterpeto 3. The conference, titled “Salute, libertà e controllo” (Health, freedom and control), is organized by the Salute Attiva association.

The program announced by the organizers covers health emergencies, measures adopted in the name of collective security, surveillance systems and technological development. Fracassi will tackle these themes through a discussion that weaves together information, geopolitics, science and fundamental rights.

“What relationship exists between public health and individual freedom? Where does the line fall between protection and control?” are among the questions raised in the presentation of the evening. The organizers also propose a reflection on the opportunities offered by technological innovation and the ethical issues tied to the transformation of the human being.

Among the topics listed are also transhumanism and its social and moral implications, along with the debate on possible eugenic drifts. “The conference aims to be a unique opportunity to hear analyses, questions and alternative viewpoints on issues that directly affect the life of every citizen,” reads the association’s statement.

Admission is free until seats run out. For information, you can write to associazionesaluteattiva@gmail.com.
