San Marino took centre stage at the 2026 World Travel Market in London, one of the world’s leading events dedicated to tourism. The “Visit San Marino” stand was officially inaugurated yesterday at ExCeL London, where the Republic is presenting its tourism offerings to operators and professionals from over 180 countries.
The exhibition space was opened by Alan Gasperoni, Private Secretary of the Secretariat of State for Tourism, alongside a delegation from the Tourism Office and Sammarinese operators Azimut Itinerari, San Marino Viaggi e Vacanze, San Marino Welcome and Titan Travel.
The ceremony was also attended by Gianluca Caramanna, adviser to the Italian Ministry of Tourism, Italy’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Fabio Cassese, Francesco Bongarrà, director of the Italian Cultural Institute in London, and ENIT’s chief executive Ivana Jelenic.
The San Marino stand is located within the exhibition area dedicated to Italy and aims to strengthen ties with international tour operators and buyers. Gasperoni also met with representatives of Italian regions, with particular focus on Emilia-Romagna, to explore new collaborations in tourism promotion.
San Marino is also among the destinations shortlisted for the international Wanderlust Awards, with the ceremony scheduled for today, 4 November.
The 2026 World Travel Market brings together more than 4,000 exhibitors and 5,500 qualified buyers, with over 46,000 visitors expected to attend.
