He promised on Facebook concert tickets, even for shows that were sold out through official channels, but after payment, buyers received nothing. That is the accusation against a 30-year-old man residing in the province of Bari, traced partly thanks to a judicial request (rogatoria) from the Court of San Marino.
The investigation led by the Bari Public Prosecutor’s Office resulted in the notification of 18 judicial acts and measures and a search of the man’s home.
According to police reconstructions, the 30-year-old allegedly used Facebook profiles under fake names to offer tickets for Coldplay, Cesare Cremonini, Marco Mengoni, Renato Zero and Pinguini Tattici Nucleari concerts.
In some cases, those who asked to cancel the purchase or had second thoughts were allegedly subjected to threats and suspected harassment.
Complaints were filed in the Republic of San Marino as well, in addition to several Italian cities, including Rome, Turin, Cremona, Venice, Florence and Macerata.
