Public quiet in San Marino’s historic centres and residential areas is coming before the Committee. On Monday, 28 September, the Standing Council Committee for Constitutional and Institutional Affairs will meet at the Kursaal Congress Centre for a full day of work, running from 9am to 1pm and from 2:30pm to 7:30pm.
Among the main items on the agenda is the examination, in referring committee stage, of the popular-initiative bill “Protection of public quiet in the historic centres and residential areas of the Republic of San Marino,” put forward by Simona Capicchioni and other citizens. It will be up to the Committee to examine the substance of the measure and begin its review.
But public quiet won’t be the only topic on the table. The Committee will also tackle the bill on the coat of arms of the Captains Regent, on which the Secretary of State for Internal Affairs is expected to give a briefing.
Another item concerns young people. The agenda also includes the examination, in referring committee stage, of a bill aimed at amending the 2007 framework law on youth policy initiatives, put forward by the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture.
The Committee, chaired by Oscar Mina with Enrico Carattoni as vice-chair, is thus preparing for a session lasting more than nine hours, with three pieces of legislation on the agenda: public quiet, the Regency coat of arms, and youth policy.
