Murata came out on top in a 3-2 thriller against Virtus in the first rescheduled match of round two of the San Marino Futsal Championship, drawing level with Pennarossa at the top of the standings. At the Acquaviva sports hall, the defending champions took the lead three times, with Virtus managing to hit back on the first two occasions.
Simone Andolina broke the deadlock, putting Murata ahead in the 22nd minute. Seven minutes later Virtus equalised, helped by an own goal from Alan Franco Cerquetti. The teams went into the break level at 1-1.
In the second half, Rodrigo Alejandro Recober made it 2-1 in the 35th minute, but Fabio Belloni pulled Virtus level again in the 41st. The decisive goal came in the 52nd minute, scored by Enzo Gabriel Molinas, sealing the final score at 3-2.
Murata now sit on a perfect record after two rounds, as the rest of the round’s fixtures are still to be played. Virtus remain on one point, earned in their season opener against Cosmos.
