A collision between a car and a motorbike occurred on the morning of Tuesday, September 16, in Serravalle. The accident took place just before 8am on via Costa del Bello.
According to initial reports, a driver was pulling out of the gate of their home in an Audi. Their view was reportedly partly blocked by a van parked along the street. While merging onto the road in the direction of Galazzano, the car collided with a Suzuki GSX, ridden by a 49-year-old woman from Borghi who was heading toward Ciarulla.
Following the impact, the woman was thrown from the motorbike and landed on the asphalt several metres away. She was treated by San Marino’s emergency medical service (118) and taken to the emergency room conscious. After medical examinations, doctors gave her a prognosis of 30 days. The driver of the car was unharmed.
To allow for rescue operations and investigations, via Costa del Bello was temporarily closed in both directions by the Guardia di Rocca. The Civil Police have been tasked with determining the exact circumstances of the crash.
