The second matchday of the San Marino championship belonged to Tre Penne, Domagnano, Tre Fiori and Virtus. Tre Penne beat Cosmos 2-0 thanks to a Bartoli double, while Domagnano and Tre Fiori both won 4-0, against San Giovanni and Faetano respectively. Virtus, meanwhile, edged past Fiorentino 1-0.
In Dogana, it was Bartoli who settled a match that had long been tight and short on chances. The Tre Penne forward broke the deadlock in the 44th minute, latching onto Pieri’s aerial knock-down and finishing with a first-time right-footed strike. Cosmos tried to hit back in the second half, mainly through set pieces, but never seriously troubled Andreani. In the 89th minute, Bartoli struck again, this time from close range after a Carrer header, sealing the final 2-0.
It was a more straightforward afternoon for Domagnano, who, after a bright start from San Giovanni, quickly took control of the match. Ferraro opened the scoring with a fine solo effort, before Ambrosini doubled the lead from the penalty spot. Rigoni added a third before the break. In the second half, Ambrosini completed his brace with a superb curling finish to make it 4-0. It was Domagnano’s second win in as many matchdays.
Tre Fiori also hit four, against Faetano. Bernardi put the defending champions ahead in the first half and added a second early in the second period. Late on, Ben Kacem took centre stage, first scoring to make it 3-0, then teeing up Bernardi for the goal that completed his own brace and settled the score at 4-0.
A single moment of brilliance from Lisanti was enough for Virtus to see off Fiorentino. In the 21st minute, the black-and-green forward controlled the ball on his chest before firing a first-time left-footed strike beyond Berardi’s reach. Virtus created several chances to double their lead but could not convert them, while Fiorentino finished the match with ten men after Del Frari’s sending-off. The game ended 1-0 to Virtus.
