Two days of matches, ten teams and a final decided by the finest of margins. The Montecchio sports field hosted the San Marino Special Cup 2026 on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, a five-a-side football tournament organized by the San Marino Federation of Special Sports together with the San Marino Football Federation.
Lifting the trophy was Asd Albano Primavera, who came out on top in the decisive clash, beating Sportinsieme Castellarano 2-1. It was a closely contested match, settled by just a single goal. San Marino’s team, meanwhile, finished the tournament in sixth place.
The event also featured Associazione Fuorigioco Odv, Asd Calcio Veneto, Insuperabili, Parma Special, Samba Rimini, Special Olympics Monaco and Asd Sport “in”…Veneto.
The contribution of the many volunteers working behind the scenes proved essential. The organizers extended their thanks to them for the work that once again ensured the event’s success.
