San Marino RTV and the SAE Group have signed the Strategic Memorandum of Understanding “Point of View – A Shared Perspective on the Present”, an agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation between the public broadcasting service of the Republic of San Marino and one of Italy’s leading media groups. The deal seeks to develop new projects in the fields of news, culture and innovation, while preserving the editorial independence of both partners.
The protocol, which is non-binding in nature and intended to be developed through subsequent operational agreements, provides for the creation of television and digital formats, documentaries, reports, podcasts, investigations and in-depth features, as well as the exchange of editorial content and the participation of SAE Group journalists in San Marino RTV programmes. Other goals include promoting cultural and journalistic events, experimenting with new cross-media formats, and launching training initiatives.
At the heart of the collaboration is “Point of View”, described as a permanent laboratory of ideas designed to connect journalism, television, culture, research, technological innovation and civic participation. A Joint Editorial Board will also be established to coordinate activities — a joint body tasked with overseeing the development of shared initiatives.
The agreement also carries an international dimension, bringing together the Public Service Media of the Republic of San Marino and one of Italy’s largest media groups, with the aim of fostering dialogue between editorial, cultural and institutional experiences beyond national borders.
