Starting in April 2027, travellers will be able to fly from Rimini to Berlin non-stop. easyJet will inaugurate the new route on 16 April, with flights on Mondays and Fridays through October. The service will use 186-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. It is the airline’s third destination linked to Rimini’s “Federico Fellini” airport, after London Gatwick and Basel.
The new route is aimed primarily at the German tourism market, though the airport also points to opportunities for business travel and economic ties between the two regions. “I am certain this route will be warmly welcomed by tourism operators along the Riviera and throughout Romagna,” said Leonardo Corbucci, chief executive of AIRiminum.
According to regional tourism councillor Roberta Frisoni, the new connection strengthens accessibility to the Riviera and its hinterland from Germany. Citing Istat data, the announcement notes that in the first six months of 2026 German tourists in the Destinazione Romagna area recorded 154,463 arrivals and 816,311 overnight stays, up 3.24% and 2.03% respectively compared with the same period in 2025.
The mayors of Rimini, Riccione, Bellaria-Igea Marina, Misano Adriatico and Cattolica also welcomed the news, highlighting the joint efforts of municipalities, the region and the airport to expand connections with Germany.
