San Marino's rhythmic gymnastics team opened its Serie B campaign with a brilliant second-place finish at the Umbria Forum in Terni.

A podium finish on debut for San Marino’s rhythmic gymnastics team. The squad representing the San Marino Gymnastics Federation (Federazione Sammarinese Ginnastica) claimed a brilliant second place in the first round of the Serie B National Championship, held on Sunday, 18 October at the Umbria Forum in Terni.

The blue-and-white team, coached by Erika Alimonti, Federica Protti and Serena Sergiani, finished the competition with an overall score of 95.950, immediately showcasing their talent.

Taking to the floor were Emma Fratti on hoop, Eva Bombagioni on ball and clubs in the “jolly” routine, Sara Ceccoli on clubs, and Camilla Rossi on ribbon. Completing the squad as reserves were Lucia Frisoni and Ludovica Vannoni.

Among the standout performers of the day was Emma Fratti, who recorded the second-best individual score in the hoop routine. Her performance helped shape the team’s overall result, built through five routines executed with precision and determination.

For San Marino, it marks an encouraging start ahead of the next three rounds of the championship. The goal now is to maintain consistency, improve with each competition, and fight until the end for a chance to earn promotion to the top division.
