A moment of celebration, but also an opportunity to renew commitment to the younger generation. Gen SM, the youth movement of the Socialists and Democrats, has inaugurated its new headquarters, conceived as an open space for gathering, discussion and participation — not only for its members but for all young people interested in sharing ideas and projects.
Six months after its congress, the movement reaffirms the priorities of its work, with particular attention to issues that most directly affect young people: the right to housing, the difficulty of finding an apartment, and matters concerning school and university. The goal is to promote opportunities for dialogue both at the new headquarters and in other locations across the country, building an increasingly rooted network within San Marino.
Gen SM currently counts more than thirty members and is looking ahead to further growth, aiming to turn its new headquarters into a stable point of reference that encourages youth participation and strengthens dialogue with the wider community.
The initiative also aims to counter the growing disaffection of young people toward politics by offering a space where they can meet, exchange views and develop shared projects. The movement further reiterates its commitment to fostering collaboration among young people from different backgrounds and perspectives, placing the active involvement of new generations in San Marino’s social and civic life at the heart of its mission.
