Living in San Marino and need a loan? For Fiditalia, income matters more than your address

The bathroom renovation quote is on the table: ten thousand euros. You open a lender’s website and start filling in the form.

Name, surname, date of birth. Then comes the residency field, and your town isn’t listed.

On many forms, living in San Marino is treated as a data-entry error.

Not with Fiditalia. The consumer credit arm of the Société Générale group, with more than forty years in the business and roughly a million active customers, also provides financing to those who live and work on Titano. Italian citizenship isn’t required, nor is residency in Italy. What’s required is what’s required of everyone: a pay slip, a pension, or demonstrable income.

This isn’t a special favour, and it isn’t an exception.

Among the eligibility requirements for Fiditalia’s personal loans, San Marino is listed right alongside Italy. And the checks are the same for everyone: an applicant living in Serravalle is assessed just like one living in Rimini.

Employees, self-employed workers, pensioners. A bathroom to redo, a car to replace, a home to furnish, an expense that can’t wait: Fiditalia’s personal loans start at 3,000 euros and, for new customers, go up to 30,000, with a fixed instalment and a repayment term chosen together with the lender.

There’s also an option that rewards punctuality: pay on time, and the instalment decreases over time.

It starts with a conversation, not a form.

For San Marino residents, the point of reference is the Fiditalia Credit Point in Rimini, at Via XXIII Settembre 67, tel. 0541 083449.

To apply, you’ll need your passport, your most recent proof of income, and your Italian tax code, which the branch can retrieve within 24 hours if needed.

The advisor will explain what’s possible, how much it costs, and over what period it can be repaid.

In San Marino, credit is difficult to come by. Not impossible.
