A story of war, courage and artworks kept safe. The Cinema Teatro Concordia in Borgo Maggiore hosted the presentation of “I colori della tempesta” (“The Colours of the Storm”), the film directed by Roberto Dordit that recounts the story of Pasquale Rotondi. During the Second World War, the young superintendent for the Marche region helped save thousands of Italian works of art.
The special screening took place last night, 24 September, with the director in attendance. Also speaking at the event were art historian Roberta Aliventi, Fabrizio Raggi, and Alan Gasperoni, private secretary to the Secretariat of State for Tourism. Their remarks explored both the story told in the film and the significance of the cultural heritage Rotondi managed to save.
San Marino has a stake in the production. For the Secretariat of State for Tourism, this involvement is part of the broader project to develop film tourism, through which Titano aims to promote the territory as a location for film and audiovisual productions.
Produced by QualityFilm in collaboration with Rai Cinema and Staragara, the film will continue screening at the Concordia today, 25 September, and tomorrow, 26 September.
