Geriatric medicine: enrolment open for the “Giancarlo Ghironzi” master’s programme

The 15th edition of the postgraduate master’s in geriatric medicine, promoted by ASGG with the Universities of San Marino and Ferrara, is now open for applications.

Enrolment is now open for the fifteenth edition of the second-level university master’s programme in geriatric medicine “Giancarlo Ghironzi”, promoted by ASGG together with the Universities of San Marino and Ferrara.

The course awards 60 ECTS credits and addresses the needs of an ageing population, ranging from frailty prevention to the management of multiple conditions, from appropriate medication use to palliative care. At the heart of the programme are quality of life and the preservation of independence, alongside greater integration between hospitals, community services and home care.

Dedicated to the founder of ASGG and launched in the 2011/2012 academic year, the master’s programme is directed by Giovanni Zuliani of the University of Ferrara, with teaching coordination by Carlo Renzini of San Marino. It is supported by the patronage of the scientific societies SIGG, AIP, SIGOT, IAGG and EuGMS.

The programme is aimed at general practitioners and specialists, nursing home physicians, pharmacists, psychologists, nutritionists, physiotherapists and nursing professionals holding a master’s degree.

For information and enrolment, interested parties can contact the Higher Education Office (Alta Formazione) of the University of San Marino, visit www.unirsm.sm, or write to info@asgg.sm.
