Simone Campedelli has won the 2026 International Rally Cup. The driver from Romagna, with co-driver Tania Canton in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, finished third at the 11th Rally delle Colline Metallifere e Pomarance, held in Tuscany over the weekend of 24-25 October, a result that secured him the title in the championship’s final standings.
The race itself was won by Slovenia’s Boštjan Avbelj at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia, ahead of Gianandrea Pisani. Third place, however, was enough for Campedelli to end the season ahead of both rivals and claim his second IRC crown, following his 2024 title with the Skoda Fabia RS.
Also in Tuscany, at the sixth edition of the Historic Pomarance, Fabio Agostini and Marco Abetoni took victory in the category reserved for classic cars, driving a Peugeot 106 S16.
There was further good news from Portugal, where international rally events were held on Sunday 25 October. Daiana Darderi, co-driver to Francesco Dei Ceci, finished third in the ERC4 category of the European Rally Championship — a result that also earned the 2004-born driver third place in the Junior category standings.
At the Madeira Legend, meanwhile, Renato Travaglia and Mirco Gabrielli finished second overall in a BMW M3 E30, bringing home another international podium.
Less fortunate was the outing at the Rally di Piancavallo, part of the CRZ Zone 5 regional championship, where Pietro Orlandi and Valentina Pasini were forced to retire.
The weekend also brought positive results at Monza, which hosted the final round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europa season and the subsequent world finals. Luciano and Donovan Privitelio, racing for the Rexal Villorba Corse team, finished third in the LC Cup category in Race 1 of the sixth round, before placing eighth in Race 2.
In the world finals held on 24 and 25 October, the crew — driving a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO — also claimed a podium finish in the first race, rounding off a weekend packed with strong results for the team’s colours.
